Description
200 lb tub. A molasses & distillers grain
mixture that provides protein and other nutrients to beef cattle on pasture.
This version offers a higher level of magnesium supplementation as an aid to
help prevent grass tetany in cattle. Offers convenience and flexibility for
supplementing your herd. Ideal for cattle operations where the cattle may be
located on several different farms and daily hand-feeding is not a practical
option. Designed to be fed as a supplement when adequate amounts of forages can
be fed to the herd but extra nutrients are needed to help meet animal nutrient
requirements compared to forages alone. Contains 24% Crude Protein, 4% Crude
Fat, and 6% Crude Fiber Contains 4.5% Magnesium. Contains not more than 16%
equivalent crude protein from non-protein nitrogen Average consumption rate
should be 1 to 2 lbs on a daily basis based on a 1,000 lb animal Directions:
Place the tubs 50 to 75 feet away from loafing, feeding and watering areas. Feed
at a rate of one tub per 15 to 30 head. All animals should have equal access to
tubs. Expect a 7 to 10 day acclimation period where consumption may vary, but in
general, the consumption rate listed above should be achieved after the initial
acclimation period. Refer to the product label for complete instructions. Tubs
may need to be repositioned to achieve the correct consumption level.
Consumption may vary depending on animal body condition, quantity and quality of
forages, seasonal weather conditions and feeding locations. Consumption of
selenium should not exceed 3 mg per head per day. DO NOT feed to sheep or any
other species with low tolerance to supplemental copper. DO NOT allow starved
animals free access to this tub. An appropriate free choice mineral supplement
may be fed in addition to this supplement if additional mineral and vitamin
fortification is desired.
