A MESSAGE FROM OUR GENERAL MANAGER

Now, more than ever, it’s vital we come together as a community to support each other during these astonishing times. Part of that is listening, showing compassion, and demonstrating care for some of our neighbors who are most vulnerable to the COVID-19 virus. As such, we wanted to update you on some measures we’re taking to better support you and your families during this time.

Beginning Thursday, March 19, all Augusta Co-op True Value stores will open to service customers who are age 60 and over first from 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM daily. During this time, community members in this age category can avoid crowded shopping to allow for better social distancing. Although we will not be requesting ID for entry, we ask that you please respect the purpose of these early shopping hours – and do the right thing for your neighbors.

Our store hours at all four locations will remain the same, however our team is spending significant time sanitizing, unloading deliveries and stocking shelves. Rest assured that our stores receive deliveries throughout the day, so our shelves will be replenished for shoppers at all hours.

Augusta Co-op’s ‘Dockside to Go’ program will remain available to all customers and store locations as well. With our ‘contactless’ order via text, phone or email and pick up, customers will only need to pull up at the dock, a staff member will ask your name and we will load your order for you. Orders will be fulfilled within two hours. All staff members will practice social distancing to keep you and your family safe.

Secondly, Augusta Co-op True Value will be offering free delivery for all customers that spend a minimum of $150 and live within five miles from our Stanton, Weyers Cave, Fairfield, or Scottsville locations. Customers that spend less than $150 will be charged a $20 delivery fee within 5 miles. Any customers requesting delivery outside of the five-mile limit will be quoted a delivery fee.

Additionally, we would like to remind customers about our recently launched online shopping website. Visit www.AugustaCoop.com, click the ‘shop online’ tab at the top right hand corner of the home page, and purchase goods direct from the comfort and safety of your home.

Lastly, Augusta Co-op continues to take payments as usual with a few adjustments. You may continue to mail your check direct to CFS or to Augusta Co-op. Payment online is fast and easy, contact CFS to arrange online payments. If you pay via credit card, we will temporarily be waiving the 2.5% processing fee, and if you prefer to bring in your check, please notify us that you are on the way and we will meet you at your car in the parking lot. If you have any questions about these payment options please call CFS at 1-877-566-0518 or Augusta Co-op at 540-885-1265 x 238.

Candidly, the current demand for lawn and garden, farm supplies is significant. However, during this extraordinary time, you can depend on Augusta Co-op. We are proud to be serving you since 1929.

Sincerely,
Kevin McLaren, General Manager
