Description
For the treatment of beef cattle and non-lactating dairy cattle for
bacterial pneumonia, Bovine Respiratory Disease Complex, Bacterial scours, Foot
Rot, Calf Diphtheria, and Acute Metritis. Boluses are sized to be given to
ruminating replacement calves (calves over 1 month old that are not on an
all-milk diet). Sustained action – 3 full days from a single treatment. Fast
acting as it reaches minimum therapeutic blood levels within 6 hours. Quickly
acts to break fever and illness. Contains 123.8 grains (8.02 grams)
sulfamethazine. Sold by the container.
Directions: Administer
orally according to the following table. The dosage should be used at each 72
hour interval.
Body weight – # of boluses
100 lbs – 2 bolus
150 lbs – 3 bolus
200 lbs – 4 bolus
250 lbs – 5 bolus
300 lbs –
6 bolus
Care should be taken to not crush the bolus. A second dose may be
given 72 hours after the first dose if needed. DO NOT exceed two doses. DO NOT
slaughter animals within 12 days after the last dose. DO NOT use in female dairy
cattle 20 months of age or older. DO NOT use in calves under one month of age or
calves being fed an all-milk diet. Refer to the product label for complete
